9-Day Intensive Earthen Building Workshop in Nubia
Discover Nubia’s living heritage through hands-on earthen architecture. Together with local builders and the community, participants will learn traditional techniques including mud-brick, mortar, plastering, and bonding systems.
The experience culminates in the collective construction of a sustainable, climate-adapted earthen prototype on Sehelnarti (Sehel Island), combining technical training, intercultural exchange, and ecological design with a hands-on exploration of Nubian earthen building traditions
